Breakdown of the Project

10ft x 8ft x 8ft 6″ new build shipping container converted to a bespoke generator store to customer specification. ��

We were approached by a leading construction company based in the South East of England who had a requirement for a secure mobile generator store for use during construction projects. ��

We took a 10ft new container and fitted out with a steel chequer plate flooring with raised edges to contain any spillages, large heavy-duty louver vents to air flow, personnel steel access door, a 1500L diesel tank with gauge and other fittings. Cable entry points. We supplied and fitted a 20kva diesel generator and fitted with an exhaust stack to the outside.  ��

The unit was fitted externally in client’s white corporate colours. ��

Conversion breakdown

• 1no. 10ft new build container – 10ft x 8ft x 8ft 6”.
• 1no. steel personnel door with 10-point locking mechanism, installed in the left hand 10ft corrugated panel.
  • Dressed with 50mm box section.
• 1no. 400mm x 1600mm vent installed on the left-hand corrugated panel located towards the cargo doors.
  • An aperture of 1600mm x 400mm was cut from the corrugated panel and dressed with 50mm box section.
• On the right-hand 10ft corrugated panel there was a similar vent installed with 1no. 400mm x 1600mm vent towards the rear of the container.
  • An aperture of 1600mm x 400mm was cut from the corrugated panel and dressed with 50mm box section.
• Internally the container flooring had bunded flooring fitted with 300mm raised edge for any spillages.
• 100mm x 100mm aperture dressed with 50mm box section next to the vent on the right-hand 10ft corrugated panel for use as a cable entry point with a lift up hatch.
• The internal of the container was touched up with matching paint due to weld marks.
• We supplied and fitted a 20kva diesel generator and fitted with an exhaust stack to the outside.
• Resprayed externally to customers specified colour – RAL9010.
