Breakdown of the Project

We were approached by a farmer in North Yorkshire who was looking for a bespoke small chemical store due to new regulations.

We took a used 10ft x 8ft x 8ft 6″ container with secure double doors. Fabricated 4no. 300mm x 300mm heavy duty louver vents and fitted these on opposite sides, high and low level to enhance cross air-flow. We overlaid the original 27mm hardwood flooring with 3.5mm chequer plate (fully seam welded). The edges of the chequer plate were raised to 200mm to contain any spillages that may occur.

2 tier steel shelving was fabricated & fitted down one side of the container for storage of drums & other materials. The unit was finished internally in light grey and externally in our traditional dark green. Chemical stores/ storage containers available approx. 2 – 3 weeks from confirmation of order. Conversion breakdown

• 1no. 10ft used/refurbished container (10ft x 8ft x 8ft 6” approx. external)
  • Cut-down from a larger container.
  • Original ISO end, with double cargo doors fitted.
• On the left-hand 10ft corrugated panel 2no. louver vents were installed.
  • 300mm x 300mm louver vents installed.
  • Dressed with 50mm box section.
  • Location specified by customer.

• Internally the container had bunded flooring installed to catch any spillages that may occur.
  • The edges were raised 150mm.
• A heavy-duty work bench spanning the length of the container was welded in place.
  • Additional storage shelf under the workbench.
• Externally the container was sprayed green – RAL6007.
• Internally the container was sprayed grey – RAL7035.
